Hey guys,
I know its been a long time but I want you guys to know that May 3rd is the annual Arthritis Walk in Atlanta and this years walk is in honor of Aunt Kathleen. So of course the Basile side of the family has started a Team Kathleen and we have to raise $100 each in order to participate in the race. So I am adding a link here on the page in hopes to get you guys to make a small donation or even join our team. Here is the link to the site:

Thank you guys so much for all that you have done for me and my family through this tough time. I love you all so much!

Just A Quick Update

I know its been awhile since my last blog and I think I've now accumulated on enough things to blog about. Its not going to be a long blog because its late and Ive got my first day down at State tomorrow but I really wanted to get on here first off and thank Aunt Peggie and Uncle Steve for having us over to their wonderful home last weekend. It was very nice and I really enjoyed watching the olympics on that sweet TV in the living room. I also really enjoyed my girl chats with Aunt Peggie and Mom. 2nd I wanted to be the first to tell most, I know some of you already know my big news but I'm moving out. I found a nice Condo and roommate to share rent with in Downtown Decatur. Really nice part of town and really cute little condo. I can walk to marta so when gas prices decide to jump back up again they won't effect me too much. I found it on Craigslist and the girl that posted it is a really nice girl named Robbi and she's a fashion major over at SCAD Atlanta. Downtown Decatur looks like a lot of fun and I think it'll be a great place to find a job once I get settled with school, which leads me to my last bit to blog about. I start down at GA State tomorrow and i'm ridiculously excited. I'm so excited about it that I think that I'm building myself up so much that i'm afraid i'm going to be over excited about it and be burnt out by Thursday. So I start tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it. That's about it for now. I'll go to school tomorrow and workout with my WOB (Uncle Mike) tomorrow night. Love everybody, and just stay happy and healthy and have a good week!

Some Disappointment But...Some Hope On The Home Front

The day started out like any other day. A phone call from mom, laying in bed not wanting to wake up, the usual. I went down to Georgia State University this morning with my friend Amanda (who has already been accepted) and we rode the MARTA from Chamblee Station and transferred trains at Five Points. She was very excited because she had never ridden the MARTA. Her excitement soon turned to some what of a happy disappointment. Anyway I felt really cool and independent taking MARTA and going down to State by myself. So we get off at the Georgia State stop and we were both really excited because they station led you right into a really nice lobby of a nice Atlanta office building. We began to walk not even half a mile to the Admissions office when it began to rain. This was a bummer but it was not the worst of it.

The reason I went down there today is because I had called them yesterday to check on the status of my application. The gentleman told me there was good news and bad news. The bad news was as of right now I was not approved for admissions into Ga State because I have a deficiency in my Social Sciences. Up until this semester I had not really been able to take science classes because of my remedial math classes that were holding me back from taking Science classes. Lucky for me however I had taken 2 Science classes this semester and the good news is that if I were able to hand deliver them a transcript of all my grades including the ones from this semester they'll re-evaluate my application and consider me for admissions. Needless to say I'm very nervous and I don't have the highest hopes in the world but oh well. I've done everything I can at this point. Now it's time to wait and see

Hope everyone is having a wonderful time spread out across the country. The crusaders, the northbound grandparents on their trip, Kate and her adventures and Texas, and of course Chris and April up in Tennessee. Love you guys!

I'm Here!

I finally made the move but I don't really have time to blog right now. I've got to go downtown to Ga State's Admissions Office and hand them my official final transcript from Perimeter cause they're giving me the run around. Love you guys! Glad we were all successfull in moving.
